We at Heritage Aquatics only stock good quality cold water fish food such as Nishikoi and Tetra Pond including flakes, sticks, koi sticks etc. There is a wide variety of food available on the market today and it is important to know which food is correct and when to use them.

Staple Foods are a general diet for the majority of pond fish making an ideal daily food.
Variety Foods offer a varied daily diet especially for a pond with many types of fish and can be used instead of a staple food.
Special Foods are superior foods specially formulated for certain types of fish such as TetraPond Gold Mix is ideal for goldfish, shubunkins and comets.
Koi Foods are developed specifically for koi with the correct balance of nutrients as well as colour enhancers. They are designed to maintain their health, condition and appearance.
Colour Enhancing Foods can be fed for short periods to develop natural fish colourings especially after the winter months to strengthen their colour.
Cold Weather Foods are rich in highly digestable wheatgerm which can be fed to pond fish during the winter months to keep fish in top condition. These should only be used when the temperature is below 10 degrees and when fish are active.
