During the pond season, we always have hundreds of different plants available to choose & order from, all are hand picked & grown so that they are ready to be utilised in your own setting. If you wish to pot your own aquatic plants we supply aquatic soil, baskets etc to enable you to do this successfully.

Among the wide variety of plants we have on offer, we are pleased to be able to now have available the following from our own stock of good quality plants:

Wide variety of marginals. Marginal plants bring life and colour to the perimeter of your pond from low growing to to tall irises. All will attract exceptional wildlife into your garden. Flowering baskets are a selection of marginals in baskets all ready to be placed in your pond. The contoured baskets are placed directly into the pond ensuring you have less work to do!

arum italicum

butomus umbellatus

caltha palustris acorus gramineus variegatus

Assorted oxygenators. Oxygenating plants grow from the bottom of a pond. Their leaves emit bubbles of oxygen thus helping the pond's ecological system. Ponds without soil should have these plants in containers whereas natural ponds can have bunches thrown in to root. Oxygenating plants are essential to help provide a natural balance in the pond. They grow up from the bottom with their leaves submerged. Underwater leaves produce oxygen by photosynthesis during daylight hours thus increasing the oxygen content of the pond water and benefits pond life. They also absorb dissolved mineral salts from the water thus helping to starve out algae. Some oxygenators have emergent leaves and flowers that are carried above the water surface providing habitat for water insects and baby fish as well as looking attractive.

elodea crispa ranunculus hederaceous hippuris vulgaris hydrocotyle variegata

Premier moisture loving plants for added colour and depth to your pond surround. These incorporate some varieties that thrive in the warmer temperatures we are now experiencing but will also survive British winters with a little help!

calla palustris arundo donax variegata bletilla caltha palustris alba

Water lilies. These grow in the deeper parts of a pond. Their beautiful flowers and the floating leaves gives shade and cover to aquatic life below and they prefer still water away from waterfalls and fountains.
